Trials has always been a problem child and has only served to empower and bolden the paid carries service., along with the drive to exploit it by any means necessary.
Want an actual solution? Give Trials the axe indefinitely and gear all of those potential resources towards renewing Comp instead, or at the very least Crucible in general.
As it stands, there are no lasting incentives to consistently play Trials as by now most of those who do reach Flawless have gotten their loot several times over.
Trying to make Trials more accessible only opened up a new problem that Bungie so far has been unable to fix. Trials only benefits those who have gotten to the Lighthouse before and still can through whatever means they have done so outside of actual fair competition and even then, there’s nothing to gain for players who do reach it legitimately after they’ve gotten their title or adept weapons. At a certain point, somebody has to realize that Trials has pretty much outlived it’s purpose because of how poorly it, and matchmaking in general, was designed.
There’s no worth in arguments over it because there’s no means to effectively cater to the whole of the pop by Bungie.

Brings in too many eyes and views for streamers, which in turn gets more people playing trials. It’s a cash cow. People really need to accept the reality of this game, it won’t be balanced, it won’t be perfect. Play it or don’t.
