I think in a tweet it was explained to kinda prevent a vow race from happening meaning if there are any bugs happening during the race they can get resolved quickly when there’s a team on the clock rather then well you saw how messy the vow race was

  • Not everyone wants to work on weekends ya know plus the team would be a bit bigger to have for bugs for the race as opposed to the team size we had during the vow race where we had folks asking for the race to be stopped for the bugs to be fixed So instead of doing that they did this plus you forget some folks might have shorter work days on Friday so those people can join the race

  • You gotta love the mentality of some people here. They don’t want to have the worlds first be on friday because it’s a work/school day but they expect bungie employees to all show up to work on a saturday. Talk about entitled amiright?

  • Mhmm and they call it ‘lazy’ when in reality it’s probably a okay choice I don’t think we want a repeat of the vow race where folks demanded the race he stopped due to the bugs

  • Requesting one Friday off isn't going to hurt most working folks either.

  • It’s called have them work on Saturday for the people who play their game.

  • Oh so a company should just cater their work schedule around the players? I’m sorry but that’s not going to happen and never will happen. Grow up go out outside and see how the real world operates.

  • Lol In the real world they lose revenue so their losing to bud. Less people playing = less money. If people already know they can’t compete because it’s on a weekday what makes them not buy the season pass and grind the weeks before for the raid race. Your logic doesn’t make sense. And I can’t believe people are still comparing it to VoW they’ve been doing day 1’s on Saturday for more than two years.

Lol you act like majority of the player base won’t be playing on Friday. Also even if there’s less players playing Bungie doesn’t lose money from that. Do you actually believe that Bungie gets money off of player count? They won’t lose money at all just because several players apparently won’t be able to make it during a day 1 raid. Like I said no company needs to or should have to cater their schedule around the consumers. If they want to move it to a Friday then so what. If you can’t make it then you clearly had more important things to do than a day 1 raid. I’m sorry that video games isn’t everything. There will also be several players missing out on the day 1 raid if it was on a Saturday as well. As for the season pass. Bungie will not lose money they will lose out of money there’s a difference. You clearly don’t know the difference though. If Bungie would lose money that would mean they already had the money. Yet if people don’t buy the season pass which plenty of people already don’t. Then that would mean they would lose out of the money that they would get if people bought it.

  • Omg it’s called f*cking job you child. Your literally gas lighting for a reaction at this point. Number of concurrent players show on the quarterly revenue releases. You know nothing and you think you do. The majority players want it on Saturday because that’s where it’s been for more than two year. It’s been there for more views and the player count. Both equal more revenue in the long run.

Yes and Bungie has already stated why they are moving it to a Friday. You clearly don’t understand that a company shouldn’t have to cater their schedule around the consumers. If you can’t make it then oh well should’ve planned your day better. If you tried to plan your day and still couldn’t make it then you clearly had more important things to do than playing a video game.

  • You say all this but do even plan on competing with your one raid clear across your stats. Also people can’t just take off like they work at McDonald’s I’ve got bills to pay and sick days to save for guess what WHEN IM SICK. In the real world where grown walk, you don’t get to do whatever you want when you want to. Their doing it on Friday to lower the player count instead of having more people work on Saturday. It’s gross of them to find that as the solution period.

Lol nice you have no counter argument so you result to bringing up stats. Also no they are not putting it out on a Friday so less people play good job trying to reach with that one though. They are doing it so it’ll be less workload on the employees if they have to come into work on Saturday if something does happen. Also making it on a Friday would mean they’ll have more employees working in case something happens. If you have bills to pay and sick days to save. Then video games shouldn’t be the only thing you should worry about. If you can’t make time for the day 1 raid then you clearly had more important things to do than playing video games. How many times do I have to say that? You either make time or don’t it’s pretty simple.
