I found the fastest way to complete that challenge is to speed run the Metamorphasis lost sector. You can clear the entire lost sector in a couple of minutes for 5% progress.
Heroic public events give you 5% progress and normal public events are 3% (I believe). Weekly story missions also give you 5%.
They can’t put a numeric value because different activities give you a different percentage.

I finished it. Just farmed the lost sectors. But seriously, patrols should have been worth something. And heroic public events should be worth more at least. You gotta agree with that. Lol
