No top tier player wants the challenge of a flawless run.
They want to go flawless and gatekeep everything that flawless provides from other players

I wouldn’t categorize all top tier players that way. Some (for lack of a better term atm) basement dwellers find it fun to gatekeeper and ruin peoples time but that’s such a small %. Most top tier players (from what I’ve seen) don’t mind the challenge of going against each other *but* hate doing it every match. It becomes frustrating and 0 fun. Playing the rest of the player base are easy matches for them, which makes up most of the matches (it seems). If a ranked system came in, the regular players would have better odds of winning and theoretically closer matches but still not go flawless (albeit probably have more fun playing) while the high end players would have more challenging matches (theoretically at the same as the rest of the community with all things being equal) but some would definitely complain it’s not fun anymore. Definitely went on a tangent but, as it stands, the mode is broken and nothing other than *another* rework can fix it. Small bandaids and tweaks won’t fix its underlying problems. I’m curious for next season’s comp relaunch though. It’s next season right?

Not really. I’m capable of finishing raids and getting gear and I still say streamers and toxic people try to gatekeep them🤷🏼♂️ The only people that say it’s not about gatekeeping content are the ones trying to gatekeep content

raids aren't the issue here so why bring it up? lack of ability and a poor blaming mindset are your gatekeepers.
