[i]The police wave you through their barricade. The cemetery seems to be normal, with tombs, graves, flowers and all the typical adornments.[/i]

[i]*Thire continues walking down the path*[/i]

[i]At the end of the path you reach the main office. It appears empty, but undisturbed. To your right you see footprints, as if someone was dragging their feet through the grass, headed towards the far side of the cemetery.[/i]

[i]*Thire glances at the main office, then follows the tracks.*[/i]

[i]The tracks lead you to a grove of trees planted in a corner of the cemetery. A grave has been dug up here, partially hidden from the main office, and the new hole descends at least a hundred feet down into a room lit by flickering torchlight. A rope has been tied around one of the trees and reaches to the bottom of the hole.[/i]

“Welp, I guess this is the place.” [i]*Thire grabs the rope and jumps down*[/i]

[i]As you move to grab the rope a skeletal hand claws its way out of the ground, reaching to attack you as more of the skeleton rises from the grave. [/i]

*Thire stomps his heavy boot on the skeleton’s head*

[i]You squish the head down, but a free hand courses with lightning before grabbing your leg, causing minor damage as the electricity disperses into you.[/i]

*Thire ejects a blade from his wrist and slashes at the arm*

[i]The brittle bone shatters, and the hand flies off. The skeleton still struggles and tries to crawl out of the grave.[/i]

“Just die already!” [i]*Thire tries stomping on the skeleton again*[/i]

[i]The stomping proved effective, and after more bones break the undead lies still. [/i]

“Necromancy. Someone’s gonna get in some trouble tonight.” *Thire returns to the rope, grabs it and jumps down*

[i]You safely descend to the bottom, and find yourself in a small rectangular room carved out of stone. A single torch lights this area, and a pile of dirt sits at your feet. Chanting echoes from a room next door, with a door on your right. A flight of stairs headed downwards is on your left.[/i]

[i]*Thire kicks down the door for the room to the right*[/i]

[i]Inside you are greeted by a trio of surprised cultists inside a rectangular room standing around a pentagram on the floor. They all wear purple robes with gold markings, and one runs out a backdoor of the room while the other two prepare for battle. Fresh blood has been spilled here, and two columns on the other side of the room have hooks for chains. One holds the poor corpse of a recently sacrificed person, now limp and sporting a hole in their chest dripping blood.[/i]

[i]*Thire lets out a maniacal laugh and charges at the closest target, swinging his blade wildly*[/i]

[i]The scared cultist hurls a bolt of green energy at you as you charge, and his ally shoots 3 missiles of force energy at you.[/i]

*Thire uses his jump boost to leap into the air, then dives at his target*

[i]You dodge the bolt and disable your assailant. The other cultist’s missiles strike true however, and sting a bit as they hit you. He steps behind a small side altar for cover. [/i]
