What happened is what is supposed to happen in end- game.
You were grinding for loot, and progression took care of itself.

Progression and a lot of luck lol because the guys I was running with gained at most 3 levels while I went from 62 to 70 in that same time frame. So definitely luck factored in for sure.

Which is why I refuse to participate in the Pinnacle system. Its an ABUSIVE system that is designed to do exactly what you noticed. BREAK the relationship between time invested in the game....and rate of progression. So the game just becomes a slot machine where you gamble your time, and hope you get lucky and the game spits out something that progresses your character. Which means the game effectively STOLE the time of the people you were playing with.

I hate to agree with you but man that is true lol Imagine grinding 67 VOG raids to NOT get Vex while watching hundreds of other get it first try or few tries in…. RNG in this game is almost like hitting the lotto…. Gotta be so lucky.

RNG loot is part of loot games. I don’t agree with how Bungie [b]clearly[/b] manipulates drop rates based on how much we play…but it’s with the rules. But making progression an RNG affair is a breach of trust and the rules of this kind of game. Which is why I refuse to engage with that part of the game.

I learned that it hits best when your drops hit just within the power cap range of each season. I.e. For this season drops from every source hitting 1560 power. Absolutely no need to reach pinnacle. The thing I am really interested in is after next season is over and we're done with all 3 light-subclasses converted, what changes will be added for the final season before Beyond light. It is actually insane what they can do for just 3 months of work imo.
