Reporting from the profile page only reports the profile for Code of Conduct violations. If the profile itself has no violations on the profile page, it's a false report. Please don't ask people to report on the profile page unless the profile page actually has something reportable on it.

Hover your cursor over a message in the chat to see a Report button appear next to it.

If you're on the Bungie.net desktop website, selecting or hovering over a message itself will show the Report option. If you're on the App, as Dante mentioned in the other response, you should be able to tap anywhere within the message or on the picture of the person that sent the message and the Report option should appear there.

Glad ya found it!

But if I report them via the account for soliciting, how will the team know what actually happened, why I reported that person?

Sadly I already reported and blocked the person, so the message disappeared for me. When I first looked at the message I didn’t find a report functionality hence why I came here. Maybe I’ll remember it for next time (unless there is a way for me to still see the messages?)
