I Can See it Now, Revoker in Iron Banner
I guess we'll see what happens next season. It could spark complaints again or it might not. Depends on what players use.
Small post, but I got my point out there.

Light levels don't matter in basic Crucible and almost nobody uses Revoker. It's not gonna matter.

What people forget is that Rift is basically shorthand for Spawn Camping the game mode, and Revoker refunds missed shots. Meaning if you're mad about spawn camping in Control now, just wait.

So why would Iron Banner be different? Nothing is stopping you from going into Control right now with Luna's Howl, Not Forgotten, Mountaintop, Revoker, etc. Somehow when they sunset the weapons, it also instantly stopped there use in activities that light level doesn't matter. Mind over matter is what they achieved.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Bungie goes back to tweak or nerf certain pinnacle weapons like Revoker for the fact that IB doesn’t have power level advantage anymore.

3 RepliesPeople are so clueless on these forums. “You never see it in comp now” comments like these should really be kept to yourself. Reason it will be strong next season is the special ammo changes. We have plentiful ammo right now so OBVIOUSLY you won’t see it. Will change soon.

3 Repliesthey are just opening iron banner for everyone it's not that deep, my guy. If you dont see it in quickplay you wont see it in iron banner. Revoker doesnt regenerate ammo, it just return it if you miss.

Why? It is not being used now in pvp. Bungie nerfed it. There are better snipers out there.

Edited by CoNnOr10722: 5/18/2022 9:22:56 PMThe revoker meta was annoying, but wasnt that more a symptom of trials’s slower paced gameplay, the nature of 3v3 where every life matters can maybe encourage slower styles where you just bunker down, 6v6 rift on the other hand being purely objective based, i would like to assume would have a pretty chaotic pace to it, the idea of running into 6 perfectly coordinated gaurdians all using revoker just camping their spawn surely isnt going to become the go-to way to play, especially if they keep a freelance option.

If all your other gear is up to level, the light level hit isn't substantial enough to cause a problem. I use Luna's in IB all the time and it's never been a problem for me. Not to mention, Revoker is a sniper, it's still going to 1 hit crit in IB now.
