There's a similar issue with middle tree arc staff, the deflecting can sometimes hit back at you killing you to "misadventure"

I've never seen that happen, but I bet it can given that anything reflection-based in this game seems to be buggy.

Indeed. I learnt that Devil's Ruin can shoot through Arcstrider's shield - the beam of course - tried it and killed myself. Lol
