OP: you’re spot on…but only in Freelance Trials. Back to Freelance… Imho: if a player quits a match before it’s concluded, a big red Q and/or a red ‘light tag’ appears on their character / screen, which would be plain for all to see for at least that player’s next 7 matches. This would highlight a potential problem player to the other teammates, and give them an option to remove that player from their team whilst the game continues searching for a fresh replacement. If that same Q player quits another match - before those 7 penalty matches are played in full, the quitter receives a ban for the entirety of that weekend’s Trials competition. The a/m would apply to Trials and any other variant, including Freelance Trials. Just my 2d worth. YMMV. Cheers! MDGA 👈

  • Or perhaps trials quitters should be locked out from trials for the whole weekend. Just because some people would go as far as to disconnect their modem to avoid this doesn’t mean this isn’t a solution, and it would definitely cut down on the amount of people quitting matches, because not every quitter will go to the lengths of disconnecting themselves to avoid a loss.

  • In the hours that I played over two days, there was 1x quitter, say, every 6th match or thereabouts. I have no doubt that most were deliberate, though it’s also possible that a situation occurred causing a player to bounce, possibly?! That said, if I’ve had a situation occur that required my instant attention, usually I just (have to) go afk until it’s sorted, and am usually back in orbit, floating in my tin can…but, then, when it’s a big wok (problem), that’d be when I would (have to) really bounce. On another matter: I’m still trying to understand how one player, in one match, had heavy ammo on the first or second round…before the ‘heavy’ round?? Cheers!
