Starfire protocol has been in the franchise for almost 8 years and has never had an ornament…
I love the chest piece, it’s pretty strong and has a lot of utility especially with well of radiance synergy but it’s suffering from the same problem that even dawn chorus has: fashion issues 🥺
For being in the game for this long without 1 ornament yet omni gets 2 in the span of 2 seasons, something is up. Clearly bungie has forgotten this thing exists but I guess this post can serve as a reminder.

Starfire Protocol was the first exotic armor I ever got (that was equippable. At the beginning of D1 Y1, I only had a Warlock, but got a Lucky Raspberry. So useful...) It was so fugly, with all the contrasting patterns and the parts that couldn't even be shaded. But I was stuck with that unshadable monstrosity for a few months until I finally got something better.

Normally when I get a new exotic I see the notification for the cool ornament and I think "Dang I might buy that.". When I saw Molten for Dead Messenger I actually laughed out loud. It's just the base gun model, with two lava rocks strapped to the side. Talk about ZERO effort. At least the chrome ornament for Vex looks cool. A shader would've been better for this.

No exotic armors had ornaments in d1. So it being around for 7 years doesn't matter. It's time in D2 with no ornament is an argument

8 RepliesYou think the exotic is powerful? Its very bottom tier for pve and pvp for me. I like what the exotic does but sticky nades are just so bad without their ability to one shot that its pointless to ever use these exotics. I agree it could use an ornament but I’m just tossing my own opinion on it in case bungie ever reads this. If it gets an ornament, I would love it if the sticky nades dealt way more damage as well so I have an actual reason to use the ornament.
