A simple google search" why no trials this weekend" could have solved your problem.

There's a Reason Trials isn't Active during IB. Either 1 or both will Suffer due to Population Splitting. Thus will make IB or Trials matches harder to Find. They've done this since S15. And a majority of the Community is actually fine with this Decision. I'd prefer to have full population for those activities over them being Split.
