the boost counts only for the catalyst of the season pass weapon of the respective season
So this season the boost only counts for the Grand Overture Catalyst

Yep, as I said, in previous seasons they quadruple boost actually gave a 4x multiplier to progress whereas since some time this week the boost is either only a 3x or is a X+X+X.
