If you want to be practical, though, sword and board is too good to pass up. Our 2h barb had the AC of rice paper.

Yeah I think we're doing standard array so my AC at the moment is 14. With Dual Wielder it'd be 15 and with a shield 16. Another thought though, I don't start with a shield! I'd have to find one, which I don't think would be too difficult but Dual Wielder comes online immediately with a longsword and a handaxe. Damage wise win blades has higher dice but stick gives an extra situational reaction attack so idk there.

I think most folk like to combo it with Sentinel to just lock people 10ft away or something? Personally the more I think on it the less enthusiastic I am.
