Yes for reticle colour change options. ✅
Also, option to a) change reticle shape, eg, dot, circle, chevron, grid line, etc.; and b) increase reticle brightness to +++++.
For this Senior Guardian’s tired mince pies, as things stand at present, the reticle is hard to see when it blends with the ADS viewpoint, which is most of the time.
This is yet another QoL change that’s been requested since D1Y1.
Just my 2d worth. YMMV.
Cheers!

Edited by RussellMania: 12/24/2021 5:50:27 AMI don’t see any reason why you shouldn’t be able to change the color/brightness but reticle shape/size shouldn’t be modifiable. That would make every weapon almost identical to the rest of its type.

Why put restrictions on one's options? If you buy a LR and opt for a, say, red dot sight, if you changed that sight over to a pistol, and correctly zero it in, it doesn't affect the way the weapon shoots at all: that's down to the shooter. I find it hard to understand BDF members who try every opportunity to restrict our options. The mind boggles??? SMH

Edited by RussellMania: 12/24/2021 2:37:58 PMI explained why. Reticles give guns an identity and even work as a balancing technique since they can increase or limit ease of use. If reticles were interchangeable, everyone single player would use the same handful of options and there would be no variety. Can you imagine if every sniper had shortgaze as an option? What’s the point of other scopes even existing at that point? That’s not Destiny.

Guns give guns their unique identity, along with handling characteristics, then add a sight, of one’s preference. A reticle ‘type’ does not define a gun’s shooting characteristics. I trained on 7.62s & 9mms mit iron sights…old skool! Never mind. Just a difference of opinion; and I respect yours. Pax 👍

Edited by RussellMania: 12/24/2021 3:23:46 PMTechnically it doesn’t affect shooting characteristics (the sight/scope does) but it absolutely has an effect, otherwise you wouldn’t have a preference. Suros guns are known for having really clean reticles. If that was available on all weapons, they’d lose that intrinsic value.

I can agree with that for sure. I just hope that they add something soon, because it's making me not want to play the game It's getting harder for me to see, and won't be getting better I'm 25, and going blind. How fun it is to not be able to enjoy video games for what time I have left with my eye sight. Just changing the color will help a lot, shape and size don't matter to me so much.

Agreed. And that sucks man… No idea what your condition is but there’s probably a good chance that it will be treatable in the future as medical treatments are always improving. Keep your head up Guardian. Wishing you the best and a Merry Christmas!
-
Merry Christmas to you too But it's not treatable. It a genetic disease that can't be fixed. I have patches in my eyes of rods and cones that have no pigment, and constantly deteriorate over time. To put it in perspective, it's like walking outside, and the sun burning the back of your eyes. Now imagine that at night time, that's how it feels. So blues and white colors, or variations hurt my eyes. That's why I made this post. I'm also very happy to see that a lot of people are trying to help me out. I just hope someone at bungie will see this, because this is really the only game I play at the moment. I just want to be able to use the newish guns (1000YS) with out it hurting.
-
Sorry to hear that man. Best of luck to you. I have no problem with Bungie allowing players to change their reticle color, and I’m sure they will sooner or later. Bungie is really serious about adding accessibility settings.

I hope it don't take 2 years lol
