Wait… so Bungie was founded on the same day of the same month as an attack during a war 50 years before? This is gonna turn into another Veteran’s Day debacle, isn’t it?

No, the company itself was actually founded in May of 1991. But Destiny releases were always end of year around September until a bunch of delays pushed timelines back, so thats why their doing the anniversary pack this month. Just bad timing on weekly reset it fell on this particular day.

Sure the 7th only applies to the US, but what about November 11th. US calls it Veterans Day. Commonwealth of Nations call it Remembrance Day or Poppy Day. Its still a day to recognize veterans. Yet Bungie excludes that group of individuals because the game is international.
