Can’t decide if your idea is half back or just flat out a bad idea.

People like you forgot in d1 they just had the exile set in the end of match loot table after the new set came out in rise of iron
-
Bruh, you just trynna gatekeep the gear, since you probably got it You sure seem like you are the nicest and funniest person around huh
-
Yah because my opinion totally decides what bungie does with their game. This new trend of demanding things than crying about gate keeping when people don’t tell you that “you should have it” is the only funny thing I see.
-
One more thing, why would it be a bad idea? Can you elaborate?
-
We used to have shader, ghosts, ships etc all exclusive to end game activities. As bungie began throwing things at people and making cosmetics accessible not earnable that lessened. Instead of getting new things people want old content exclusive armor sets brought back. Everyone had the same chance to earn these. People that don’t have them simply chose to not play the activity. Why should people who got things in the past loose out on the chance at new armor sets because the people who didn’t care to get them in the first place decided they wanted them. Rewarding indifference or laziness instead of adding new things for people who actually get things when offered doesn’t make sense. Should adept weapons become a reward for not logging in for three months? Should raid exclusive weapons be given for taking a season off? Your going to say they aren’t mutually inclusive but the entire game as a whole is. Bungie recycles things in order to get out of creating things from scratch. Regardless bungie probably will bring it back because reskins and riding nostalgia is all they have left. I’m just so sick of seeing the same whiny idea every other day. Bungie will do what they will stop trying to bombard the same idea and annoy everyone into getting your way. Case closed.

Edited by Valerian: 11/18/2021 9:56:48 AMI mean, you are right. But one could argue that, the old trials sets, were only available to a certain part of the player base. You had to be exceptionally skilled in pvp, and almost godly at teamwork to earn said sets. And the old matchmaking system, made sure that one would with almost 100% chance meet streamers and people in top 500, after winning 4-5 matches. Not only that, but the matchmaking required you to have a premade team, of 3 players, so the teams you met were without a doubt communicating, and as such they could coordinate their next moves, and that combined with their skill being leagues above almost everyone else, made it pretty much impossible to get said loot. And as such most people never ever got the chance to get anything past the 3 win reward, since the skill required to get anything later, is not something that everyone has nor had, though since they revamped the entire matchmaking system, the rewards have become more accessible and something that almost everyone can get. But as I mentioned before, the skill gap between players in the old matchmaking system, was so insanely big, that it sucked out all of the fun to be had. Not to mention, that one of the only reasons people managed to get the old gear, was either through the 3 win bounty thing, or they paid for a carry to flawless. The only exceptions were those, who we insanely good at pvp.

what I meant was that I personally think that everyone should be able to get it, since it is such a nice looking armor set. I mean, they have done it before in D1, when they added new sets to trials, the old ones got added to the normal loot pool, and could drop as a reward after a game. They could just do that again, and as such they would increase the amount of people who play trials.

Help me improve it, would you have the sets brought back? Is so how?
