Top 1% player here. Problem one: I can no longer play with friends. This is the same issue I had with flawless pool and the win based mm (less so with flawless pool). I can’t go on lfg, find some random eight year old who has never been flawless, and help them to that goal. Problem two: Loot is old and stale. I could care less about loot. I want flashy stuff, ornaments. Exclusive emblems. Rare items nobody else can get, because adept weapons are pretty much free now. Give me ornaments for the adept weapons/armor in the flawless pool or higher ranking systems, and I’ll gladly hop in there and get that stuff. But again, for someone who already has every piece of trials loot they can have, I don’t need to play trials for anything but fun and helping other people. This is why flawless pool(and ranked systems in general) is a bad system. I don’t need to go flawless. Why would I? I gain literally nothing from it except a number on an emblem going up. I’d rather do carries and get that number up instead. It’s sad that the biggest reason for me to play is elo on a third party website. I literally don’t care when I win or lose anymore. Just my take. People have differing opinions, don’t beat me up over it.
