??? I thought howl of the storm was a melee ability alternative in the first place.

Howl is an Aspect that requires a melee charge to use. Although it really should just be just a separate melee to choose from IMO.

More or less, but it's an additional melee ability that lets you use 2 methods of stasis titan melee: the leaping punch or the ice shovel spray. It doesn't remove your ability to use the normal stasis melee.

I’m highlighting this fact because I’m your original post you said howl of the storm uses a melee charge and came to the conclusion shatterdive should use a dodge charge. If that was the case I would suggest the behemoth receive the fair treatment of titans can only shatter crystals with a slide when they have a barricade charge and it consumes the barricade whenever the execute the slide. For my actual opinion on a nerf I would say glacier grenades form in stages and the the crystals initially spawn as small and grow into what we have now. Say the crystals start as baby’s and after 1 second they are medium crystals and another second they are big crystals. Shattering damage would also be according to size. Baby crystals could take off half your health if you land the grenade straight on, medium crystals could barely just kill if landed straight on(0 super resist) and big crystals stay the same.

Hunters can choose an additional evasion/utility/class ability that is free to use on a short cooldown and does not consume any ability charges (Shatterdive). It's unfairly stacked in their favour.

Dodge is their natural class ability. Also can’t titans shatter crystals with a normal slide and slide farther with cryoclasm? So titans also get a mobile ability with a short cooldown. It may not be flashy but it is still there.

The only thing that comes close is Phoenix Dive for Warlocks, which is a counterpoint to Icarus Dash. As useful as both of those are, only Phoenix Dive can kill targets when used during a super. Handheld Supernova can also instantly kill, but requires a second and a half of charge time, that seems appropriate for the Shatterdive combo. Perhaps, like Cryoclasm, Shatterdive should require a run-up to charge and make the Hunter's normal Dodge able to shatter crystals like Cryoclasm, as you've mentioned.
