Shatter Dive is so lethal that…
… it can kill your own teammates!!!
Just a fluke thing, but I was playing IB and I shoulder charged into an empty zone alongside my allied hunter. He dry-dived right as I shouldered and I got yeeted. Thought it was funny but I’d hate to see that happen in something like trials.

If it was a simple grenade you wouldnt -blam!- but here you are complaining cause a hunter has to take extra steps and use a grenade charge just to get that small aoe kill ... Definitely don't use colony, shoulder charge, phoenix dive, finish an enemy through a teammate or use world line zero's heavy. [spoiler]*wink wink*[/spoiler]

Edited by Fai: 10/2/2021 3:27:59 AMThis reminds me of when I was doing the DSC raid with some clan mates, and I hopped up to throw down a well during the damage phase, and somehow my brother had positioned himself [i]right under me[/i] and when the sword came down, it sent him flying off the map, and he very much died a ridiculous death. It takes a special kind of skill to kill a teammate with shatterdive, but how about with a well of radiance? I love Destiny physics when they don’t absolutely ruin the game. Could go on about the ridiculous deaths I have died, literally have dropped dead for no reason on Europa, and it pinned the blame on a goblin I killed 10 minutes ago. Just walking over to grab some heavy ammo, and woop- instant death. Good times.

I accidentally did do that in trials. I tried to shatterdive the crystals but somehow me and my teammate froze and I still did the shatterdive frozen. We both got killed and it was poopy.

1 ReplyNot to say shatterdive isn't the strongest ability in the game but this may just be a case of Bungie's physics doing whatever it wants. In the week 1 shattered map, boss room, you can't climb above where the Techeun spawns because of a push wall. If it pushes you down onto a slope it can yeet you across the entire map. Also guardians can fall an infinite distance and survive as long as we land on a flat surface. If we land on a slope, even if we only fall like 20 feet, instant death. It sounds like the hunter shatter just pushed you, that combined with the speed burst from shoulder charge... I wonder if this could be used to speed run stuff.
