I think the main issue would still be that most people do not use in game chat.
I know PC and Xbox have a feature like this built in.
PS and Stadia I'm not too sure.

Looks like I need to get an Xbox 😂 but not seen much mention from the deaf community on it so I’m curious to see why. (Falls into a rabbit hole of research) There will always be people not using in game chat, although it has improved since I first started playing destiny. PS doesn’t have any feature like this currently, unless ps5 will in the future? Who knows. Personally it’ll be great having it as an in game option too.

I agree. An in-game voice to text would be great. The only reason I said it would be an issue was because a lot of people use a third party program like discord and skype or console private chat lobbies. Of course it would not hurt at all to have.
