If Osiris really is dead and somehow doesn’t come back in a physical form, I hope he turns into a ball of light like Toland. Then those two can bicker with each other in the ascendant plane.

As much as that sounds hilarious, no. Toland became that little orb because of his deep knowledge of Hive Arcana and preparation. He went down into the Hellmouth with the intention of dying and being free to wander the Ascendant Plane forever. His Ghost was fully on board with this plan too, despite it requiring their death. Doesn’t make sense for Osiris to somehow pull the same trick.
