Your matchmaking solutions won't work because 1) if it's character based, they'll just do what they are doing now, only on their 3rd toon, after going flawless on the first two. and 2) the upper echelon has proven this weekend that they don't in fact want competition, so if they can just reset their card and go back into the normal pool, that's what they'll do. I am all for making the flawless pool more rewarding for those can reach it (won't be me). Bungie changed the loot structure to entice new, inexperienced and bad pvpers to enter and play trials. They need to do the same to entice players who've gone flawless to play in the flawless pool.
