Same argument - if you are for Cbmm you just want an easy stomp. By saying you advocate for cbmm you are saying that you don’t want to play against people at the same skill level as you. Meanwhile newbs and casuals jump in and then never come back..,
Is it worth it?

We need some kind of "loose" SBMM or a hybrid. But really it doesn't make any sense for a New Light player to jump into their first match ever and face people that are gilded Flawless or gilded Unbroken right away. I just don't see how that makes any sense. It's like taking a 10 year old who has barely played basketball a few times with his dad or friends and making him go up against Lebron James. Why? Who would do that? lol. I think me and this guy I've been responding too on another post have some pretty good ideas. He says he absolutely wants lobby balancing to be fixed first. And that makes sense somewhat. Especially since we don't have a ton of Crucible players and neither SBMM or CBMM is going to work well with the lower than needed numbers we have right now. And we came up with an idea about putting in a SBMM that's only for new players... For a certain time period. Like for 50 games completed. Or 60 hours of Crucible play. And then throw them in the regular matchmaking. Or maybe put in a training mode with bots or something. Yeah several ideas. Just trying to find something that helps out the Crucible the best in the long run.

Edited by SILLABYSS: 9/4/2021 5:29:13 AMLobby balancing doesn’t matter if everyone is at the same skill level…you’re still going to have a spread of poor to great players but the matches themselves would be closer and with less blowouts… The best way to balance the lobby is using a recent history- if you’re killing it 3 games in a row then your probably going to be placed in the upper tier of the next lobby - and mixed with worse players - and if it keeps up you would move on to a more skilled game entirely… Career should determine skill, recent history should determine your approximate rank in the lobby…that would then determine the relative skill of your teammates… It’s not that hard guys…
