As the title says. I've had two crashes since the update today. Just letting you know.

for me the solution was to unlink PSN and only leave STEAM as a plateform on BNET. never crashed after that and run full VoG etc..

4 Repliesdont know if this helps but i did game scan in steam and it does not crash now
-
Same problem, just now tried to do a blind well but it crashed twice in the span of 5 minutes. Bungie really needs to fix this because I'm getting really annoyed...
-
i did the thing with allowing battleye through firewall and for some reason all my games on steam have been uninstalled so be careful if you do it. it also could be a weird coincidence. fart noise
-
Just jumping in on this post. Crash to desk top repeatedly trying to run Presage solo or in fireteam. Also, crashed to desk top trying to play Gambit, but I disabled the Steam overlay and that potentially stopped the crashing.
-
1 ReplyIs it possible that it is because of BattleEye?
-
Yep, same here. I crashed 3 times within a single strike, I bet my teammates love me for that
-
Same issue, crashed so many times that I'm currently banned from Gambit. Im going to try the battle eye fix, hopefully that helps. Kinda unfortunate i cant complete a quest now because I can't play gambit...

2 RepliesEdited by Slurpity: 8/25/2021 12:43:06 PMSame here. Had no issues after the update last night but today I've crashed twice within 5 min. It freezes for about 10 sec and then CDT with no error messages. I've just been walking around at the HELM when this has been happening. I'm not using any overlays or such. EDIT: I allowed the BEservices_x64.exe in the Windows firewall settings and I haven't crashed since. Seems like that was the issue, for me at least. i9 9900K RTX 3070 32GB RAM

Edited by Argonis: 8/25/2021 7:15:27 PMAlso having this problem. Went through yesterday without issue playing through both new seasonal activities and a full VoG run. Started playing today and had a total of 5 hard crashes to desktop. 1st crash: Mid-finisher animation on a fallen in Archer's Line on the Moon 2nd crash: Same deal as the first. Another mid-animation crash. Different finisher animation. Same area. 3rd crash: Same as the previous 2 crashes. 4th crash: Activated a warsat defense public event in Archer's Line and started shooting dregs. Hard crash to desktop. 5th crash: 1-2 minutes into the Proving Grounds strike. Was shooting at enemies when the game hard crashed. Before each crash I have noticed a stutter like the game was dropping frames. I have never had crashing or framerate issues before this season and my drivers are up to date. My graphics settings are on High, and I rarely go to sub-60 fps unless in a very enemy-dense area. Asked a friend to check the Moon location and see if they were having the same issue. They hard crashed after approximately 5 minutes and couldn't get Destiny 2 to close from the task manager after. They were playing on a RTX 3070 and an i7. My Hardware: -RTX 2060 -i7-10750H -16GB RAM

1 Replywell, at least I see that many people who have crashes are still able to launch the game and play a little .... I can't .... the game says that I got some program missing ..... I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game after the update, but it didn't help at all ..; I even tried to authorize BattlEye manually in the Firewall but it doesn't change anything .... so I'm kinda at a loss concerning what to do next (please be kind, english isn't my native language) my system has the following specs : Windows 7 64-bit System Manufacturer: ASUS Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.3GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 with 4 GB RAM

Every time I go to change my armor or mods as soon as I hit F1 the game freezes and then crashes. Seems to only be my titan.

2 RepliesTo everyone, yesterday i tried this and so far ive been able to play 2hours without crashes: 1-Verify your files on steam & and check if you have installed "VC_redist_x64" 2-delete "gfsdk_aftermath_lib.x64.dll" from destiny 2 folder (its located in the same place where destiny2.exe is) 3-check "Disable Fullscreen Optimizations" in destiny2.exe 4-check "Run this program in Compatibility mode for" windows 8" in destiny2.exe Hope this helps, cheers!

I'm having 2 errors - last night was game froze and the crashed back to desktop mid VOG raid & at boss encounter. Just now I've had beaver errors attempting to get into the tower after completing the warrior master hunt. NONE of this happened prior to this season/battle eye season being installed.

Edited by Mikesh: 8/25/2021 5:08:53 PMSame here. I couldnt even go in game. Ran the update yesterday, launched Destiny 2 and got put into the 'One moment please...Destiny servers are at capacity' screen. After nothing happend for about 40mins and other dudes I play with were currently in game and playing just fine I quit and reconnected. Same screen. Then someone said he had to quit like 3 times until the new anti-cheat started downloading and installing itself. So I tried it again. Then the game didnt let me into the queue screen anymore. I just saw the blueish starting screen with the small 'signing in...' in the bottom right corner. This went on for another hour or something and during this I tried to reconnect one more time. I gave up and tried today. Launched the battle-eye anti-cheat thingy immediately but it looked like it failed or something. Now I get a system error everytime I try to launch the game saying that something is missing and I should reinstall what I already did once before coming to this forum. The error doesnt even state whats missing exactly which makes it really hard to understand whats going on. Sent help

1 ReplySame here. Ive never had any major issues with Destiny 2. Like, ever. Now its crashing every 15 minutes. No error codes, no notifications, just a frozen image for 20 seconds with sound still playing in the background. Then..boom, straight to desktop with no 'Destiny 2 has unexpectedly crashed' or ' Destiny 2 has ran into a fatal error', etc. I thought it might be related to recording using Shadowplay, but its crashing with it on or off. It mostly seems to crash when opening up your inventory/quest log/map/etc, but I have had it crash while in gameplay as well. Win 10 Ryzen 7 2700x RTX 2080 G.Skill Trident RGB 3200

same issue here, crashed twice in under 3 minutes.

Edited by Remi: 8/25/2021 4:54:01 PM***UNINSTALL MSI Afterburner and RTSS. That will stop the game from crashing. I had to do this with another game that used Battleeye. I have the same exact issue. I can't get through the mission to arrest Osiris. I'm over here messing with my CPU overclock to see if that's the issue. Stress test, benchmarks and other games are working fine. D@ just freezes and crashes to the desktop with no errors.
-
Same issue here.
-
Same problem here after open game 2”3 minutes and game crashed without any error message.

Edited by Zippy: 8/25/2021 2:56:42 PMHey everyone, I was having this issue as well where I couldn't get past the first mission before the game would freeze and crash to desktop. After some googling around I found a thread from the ARK steam community that fixed my issues and haven't crashed since. "1. Uninstalled Destiny 2 2. Made sure to delete the Destiny 2 directories from steamapps folder
3. Ran CC cleaner portable, fixed all of the issues it found
(Didn't need to do step 3) 4. Deleted the dumb hidden Battleye directories (I believe they're at \Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye, but you could always search C:\ for battleye) 5. Delete the batteleye service - Open cmd as administrator and run 'sc delete BEService' 6. Install windows updates 7. Restart computer 8. Install Destiny 2 9. Launch Destiny 2 from Steam 10. Click OK on the install prompt without checking the "ask me again" box 11. Scroll to the bottom of the EULA license agreement 12. Hit I agree (or whatever the button is) to install 13. Launch Destiny 2 again" -From a user named MacGrubR, edited by me to make sense with Destiny
