Weapons and power should never be put behind endgame content. Endgame content should reward titles, and glamour loot. Things that dont matter to gameplay.

  • Wrong. In the history of video games. Endgame always rewards better weapons to make future runs easiers or better than the gear you get from killing pigs in a forest. Cosmetics and titles are borring and not worth going after. Only truly meh and casual players would be against such a system XD. Especially considering how easy d2 endgame is.

  • Destiny 2 isnt an MMO, and placing functional gear behind things only , was it 8% of the total playerbase ever completed? is assenine. Thats where you place skins, titles, and anything that doesnt have an effect on how easy it makes all other content for you, or against other players.

    Percentages take in consideration the guy who logged, went to the tower to check eververse and left for the day What matters is the active population, and endgame needs to be rewarding. Efforts deserves rewards, and an emblem or a sh*tty ornament isnt a decent reward. Im not in d2 to be a fashion lord, im here to kill hive gods, or vex machines and steal their weapons to use those against them. It is litteraly not interesting to get the best gear from strike..patrol...random drops from activities ive done 700000 times already (Besides d2 is a fps with mmo aspects, and its a fact, not an opinion, and even if it wasnr a mmo, it is normal in a game to reward great stuff when you beat the game so you can have more fun...and hanging around with an emblem nobody cares about isnt worth playing again)

  • Completion percentages are Completion. A TINY percentage of the overall Destiny community has done a dungeon, let alone a raid. Thats rediculious compared to actual mmo's including some of the most popular where even raids are matchmade. Im not saying make them drop in easy content, iM saying make content that fits the mean of the community and put it there. We already have it for side quests, stop focusing on "raids" and make interesting dungeons and changing spaces like what the forest was advertised to be.

  • I don’t necessarily agree with that, i think endgame 6 man raid content shouldn’t be the ONLY way to get high level rewards but i do think certain weapons should be in certain activities, VoG raid content would be pretty useless if you could get fatebringer as a random quickplay drop. I definitely agree with titles and glamour items however.

  • Thats what story quests are for. Any game that allows for uneven entry into combat based on RNG dropped endgamge gear as an advantage is basicly asking to be laughed at. Destiny , content wise, is basicly a single player co-op trapsing around as an MMO because it has public areas with up to...8 people? if you want RAID SPECIFIC Gear, FINE. But its advantages should be >In the raid< and nowhere else.

  • Agree to disagree, I wholeheartedly think there should be more ways to level up outside of co-op but raids aren’t necessarily a walk in the park and have been a great part of the Destiny franchise since 2014, to make raid gear only usable in raids would drop the interest and upset PVE palyers as a whole massively
