Why does CN need a Buff?
First of all here is a comparison of the current High-Damage Supers with the corresponding Exotics (Timestamped for the Base Damage Numbers without Buffs or Debuffs or Artifact Mods):

I did test it myself on different Strike Bosses and Minibosses, so I am not talking out of my butt. Sadly I have seen some people using Kalli as a Test Subject without subtracting the unique Precision Damage Multiplier which skews the Numbers on anything that does Headshot Damage (like Golden Gun). Most Bosses, Champs and Majors do not have this Multiplier. It is safe to use Ehroars Video to get a sense of the Damage you´ll do to the majority of enemies in the Game.
It should get a Buff because we want the competition between the classes to be fair and we love how powerful Thundercrash/Chaos Reach feel, so we want the same feeling on a Hunter again.
What are the common arguments against this Buff?
"Falling Star Thundercrash is risky and therefore needs to be almost twice as strong"
No, most of us use Thundercrash in GMs and against Master Atheon without dying or even being in serious danger due to the Overshield.
"While using Thundercrash you can´t do any Weapon Damage"
No, the distance you travel is hardly ever long enough for any current Loadout to catch up to that Damage. Also, experienced Titan Players know when to use their Supers so that they do not lose a lot of DPS.
"Geomag Chaos Reach takes 6 seconds"
Yes, but it is a far more versatile Super and they come close second to Titans during Damage Phases.
What do you lose if this Buff happens vs what do you lose now?
If it gets buffed you have the Hunter back as an equally strong High Damage Class while both other Classes stay just as relevant.
If it doesn´t get buffed you have the current situation where Hunters are the least preferred class in GMs and Raids. There have been a lot of LFG posts for Master Raids that did not allow Hunters because they do not have the Damage.
I will state once more that I do NOT want Bungie to touch Falling Star or Geomags because we love the Power.

In most damage phases it takes about 5 or 6 seconds to crash the boss and then run back to safety, maybe longer. Chaos tends to hang you in the air and make you a target, which isn't so much of an issue in normal play but can definitely go awry in the master raid or GMs. The main benefit of nighthawk is its speed and safety. Perhaps a new exotic is in order, for tether. You charge up one super powered arrow and release it at the target, takes 4 or 5 seconds and deals damage befitting of the extra cast time.
