In order to unlink an account, you must be able to authenticate it, which means you must be able to log into it. Bungie cannot forcibly de-link it.

If you are unable to gain access to your account, then you will not be able to unlink it from your current Bungie.net profile

Really? I guess that is surprising but I understand. Is it possible for me to create a new bungie account and re-link my xbox, PSN, and steam IDs? If so, is there anything lost in doing that? (I assume I would need re-added to my Clan, etc.) Anything else?

Since you have cross-save active, that won't be possible. To move accounts you'd need to disable cross-save and to disable cross-save, you'd need to be able to veify all linked accounts. Don't get recoveries.

Not to be disagreeable, but if that is not a possibility, what do they mean when they say [i]Players who can't authenticate connected platform accounts will have to contact their platform's support to try and gain access to the account. If that isn't successful, players may want to unlink their connected accounts they have access to and link them to another Bungie profile[/i] (Taken from the Authentication Error Resolutions https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049498031 ) This implies I could take my Xbox/PSN accounts and connect them to a new bungie account, since I cannot (in that scenario) disable all of cross save. I am not clear on how to just unlink those accounts, or if simply creating a new bungie account and re-linking is enough.

Edit - And just to reitterate, you will not be able to disable cross-save, if you cannot authenticate all linked accounts. If you can't disable cross-save, you can't move to a new Bungie profile with your current accounts.
