Cryothesia is really bad
It's not great in pvp, it's not great in pve. What's the point when other legendary sidearms are way better?

Edited by Dano2point0: 8/1/2021 6:05:04 PMThe weapon feels good but the special perk is just too risky with how fast movement is in this game. The special shot needs close range tracking (like Symmetry) if it's going to take the entire magazine.

5 RepliesThat shit is dirty in pvp fam. Especially with the cat. In the right hands it could help with some sticky situations. The Surprise attack mod helps with consistency. Sidearms are already good but that mod will make apes think twice......if they even think lol

It's a fun weapon that can add a lot to Stasis builds but it's not great on other subclasses. Beyond that, it's let down by being a Sidearm. With the exception of Traveler's Chosen for ability builds, no Sidearm is particularly good at anything.

Final blow should create a shatter AOE effect. This would increase add clear potential without making it OP since it would be on par with dragonfly or firefly. Additionally this should make some stasis fragments activate allowing for greater build potential.

Might be somewhat situational, but it can be really frustrating under the right circumstances. When working the catalyst I froze many a person in gambit since it's easy to always have its perk up. Other then that I traded it as a normal sidearm.

This has probably been the first disappointing seasonal exotic so far. Even Leviathan's Breath has more utility.

Well if they add more stasis guns like they said they will likely add more stasis shielded enemies. If those guns are energy then it's specialness will come from having the element in the kinetic slot. So strong in potential future match game content.

4 RepliesIt's good for stasis builds and getting stasis kills. But with season 15 bringing legendary stasis weapons the usefulness will be overshadowed.

Its good for when there are stasis bounties in strikes or gambit to complete while doing your weekly 3's. Especially for me, I don't have stasis subclasses unlocked on my Titan or Warlock.

I only used it at least once. Most likely not going to use it ever again to be honest.

Tether enemies with Shadow Shot. Freeze with sidearm.

The only thing its useful for is doing the 10 Stasis Kill bounty when you dont want to run Stasis Subclass, an even then, its not very useful.

I used to have a fun build with it in PvP and PvE pairing it with diamond Lance but the continuous nerfs to behemoth and now lack of flow made it completely not even worth using at all

Yeah I finally completed the crucible kills for catalyst. Quite the challenge because it is so mediocre.
