I see anything that even slightly enhances Felwinters lie, I dislike and scream.
Not sure if this enhances the PvP side of things, but it definitely makes it great in PvE. Are one two punch & Trench barrel really that bad in PvP? With a design like this; it’s really not pushing the range out any further than an aggressive frame shotgun would. I like the utility of it the gun, knowing that if a roaming super pushes you; you have the option to shut it down. One two punch & vorpal weapon will definitely do the trick.

Edited by Ferus Lux: 6/28/2021 5:37:43 PMAn even tighter spread would be BS and no, shutting down roaming supers should never be that simple and Supers are moments of power for players and those two perks would be obnoxious and OP against many supers and shotgun ammo is too common. My disdain for this idea could not be greater 😁

The way I see it, I’m ok if Felwinter’s wants to serve a particular purpose. And if that’s to shutdown Supers, sure. It’s a special weapon after all. Most shotguns can already clean up roaming Supers, if you shoot them & melee right after. The behemoth only has a 47% damage resistance so you can clean them up easy. Roaming Supers aren’t the be all end all of PvP. Use something else if you feel like it’s not working for you. But this concept is solid and I stand by it.

Edited by Ferus Lux: 6/28/2021 6:17:40 PMI never get easily clean up in any roaming super and shotgun melee does not kill roaming supers. You'd need a slug shotgun headshot and a melee. In fact, I froze a Titan in Fist of Havok and two pointblank shotgun shots barely killed him. If shotgun+melee cleaned up roaming supers SO EASILY, then why are you asking for Felwinter Lie, the most broken shotgun to get Vorpal and 1-2 punch/trench? What makes you think a Legendary shotgun even deserves this level wanking? I'm sorry but...I actually think this is a troll post. I hope it is anyway.

I hope it is anyway.
I think the prospect of Felwinter’s being able to clean you up, in most basic combat isn’t any different than what you’ll get from other shotguns of its class. One two punch or trench barrel are (in this concept) the only active perks while using the weapon regularly. You wouldn’t have the consistency it current has, with opening shot and surplus. Both of those are why the weapon is so forgiving & extensive in its usage right now. But if you gave this weapon a moment to shine in another way, it would balance it out. You’re not looking at things from an objective point of you. You’re seeing things from the perspective of “I hate this gun, it doesn’t deserve anything done to it to make it more powerful” without even realizing this is actually more of a nerf in the PvP sandbox. If trench barrel & one two punch were such broken perks, why aren’t the taking over PvP? When was the last time you died to a shotgun and blamed it on either of those perks? Come on man, think about it. These are changing geared towards improving their use in PvE. That’s why I mentioned the other two Felwinter exotics. So that they can compliment the power fantasy that comes with using these items together.

For what? To live out some Felwinter cosplay fantasy? That isnt gonna happen and beyond my hatred for the gun, it's just odd for a very specific legendary weapon to be completely redesigned, not to mention you would then make Felwinters Helm and Guile "xenophobic" to other kinds of weapons. A direct buff to the armor pieces would make more sense.

We have plenty of shotguns for PvP, if you wanna focus your attention their. Found verdict is an amazing PvP shotgun, and I’d argue is much more balanced than Felwinter’s right now. As it stands, why use found verdict at all if Felwinter’s (in its current state) is always a superior option? That’s again, why I decided to set up the concept in such a way. It allowed for it to be viable in both game modes, if your goal is to use it in a specific way. If you have to ask me why I’ve done anything of this, you haven’t been paying any attention. Which begs the question, am I talking to a kid right now? An adult? I can’t tell, but I’ll leave it at that. Lol Also it’s not odd to redesign a weapon, if the goal is to make it useful for multiple game modes. When was the last time you saw someone take Felwinter’s into PvE? You earned this gun through a PvE event, and somehow having it useful in that space is odd for you? Why’s that? Felwinter’s & Winters Guile need an update. There’s no debating that. So with that in mind; it would only serve to make since, to update these exotics to suit an aggressive shotgun playstyle. These exotics want you to be in someone’s face, right? They insist that you go into combat and win. That’s the power fantasy. That’s the Felwinter’s design, by its weapon & exotics. All I’m doing is refining that design. You’re allowed to hate a weapon. That’s your choice. But don’t act stupid when people talk to you. That doesn’t make you textured or enjoyable to communicate with. It’s just a headache.

There are many guns that are suited to one or the other. Cut the shit.
We have plenty of shotguns for PvP, if you wanna focus your attention their. Ignoring your mess of an idea, Slug Shotguns are superior to both in PvE. So are you gonna suggest those be reversed to be good in PvP and bad in PvE? Just because something is good in one sandbox that doesnt mean it suddenly has completely redesigned to suit your Felwinter cosplay obsession. And you try to imply I'm the child here? Laughable. Lol
You forgot one very important detail: Your concept is bad and will never happen because a complete redesign of a legendary shotgun to indirectly buff Exotic armor pieces is unreasonable. Maybe grow up and don't insult others when they dont like your idea?
Also it’s not odd to redesign a weapon, if the goal is to make it useful for multiple game modes. Why’s that?
No that's exactly what this. Cut the BS semantics. You are changing the perks on a weapon and redesigning Exotic armor pieces to a hellish extent. You earn Deadmans Tale in PvE and it smashes in PvP. That logic doesnt work in Destiny 2.

Felwinter’s & Winters Guile need an update. There’s no debating that. Shotguns arent the only close range weapons and Felwinter used other weapons long before he even got Iron Lord forged weaponry so you can't even justify such a xenophobic change through lore in case that's your next argument. Sidearms, Submachine Guns, Fusion Rifles, and your dumb idea would make the Exotic Armor pieces exclude them. No thanks.
You’re allowed to hate a weapon. That’s your choice.
