All I'm saying is it would be nice to have Bungie go back to some of their roots of solid new maps, game types, leaderboards/ranks similar to Halo 2 and over all fun gun play
I think there's more of a chance of at least some of this stuff happening than there has ever been in D2. Who knows when it comes to the ranks but everything else appears to be in the cards.
I also played Halo a lot and would like to return to a similar PvP atmosphere. Minus the idiots screaming into their mics.

Ha, I very much agree with you. I did enjoy some of the proximity chat back in the day but that probably wouldn’t fly in today’s climate. We ran into some real fun guys slow walking on the other team playing Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day and lead into the Mario Theme song in the Assault game type. One of those you had to be there moments but we spent the entire match laughing our asses off and ended the game in a tie.

The chat wasn't all bad. Definitely have some good memories of it too. When people would get too upset in Halo 3 after the match me and my friend would push the party up button and say "party up???" Its a good thing the compulsory mics are gone though. Definitely hoping to get some of that same feel back in the PvP in this game. There was just something about PvP back then where it was both fun and competitive at the same time that I hope they can recreate with this one. Even though its definitely got to be harder to strike that balance these days.
