I think it’s due to the exotic perk, turning it into a linear after 3 kills. Just my theory, feels weird using.

That could be the case, but then the question is; Why doesn't Hard Light and Borealis have the same "issue" even though they have the "Hold reload to change mode" like Mythoclast does?

Well those are just changing elements where Vex is changing its firing mode all together. I really don’t know, it’s just a thought.

Even then, if it's supposed to be intrinsic for Vex Mythoclast to have this alternate mode, I would think the shift would be much more fluid and intuitive than it is currently.
