There is no Veil or Darkness race. There is no light race so there is no Darkness race which makes sense. The Pyramids themselves are beings and they pick their champions to wield their power.

Aside from leaks of scrapped ideas where is the proof of the Veil? The Veiled Statues inside each Pyramid are beings (the one in DSC moves, whispers and breathes) They are the "veil" you speak of.

Also, don’t throw out “scrapped ideas” as a reason. Crow was a scrapped idea, he came back. The fifth race were a scrapped idea, they kinda came back (the pyramid ships).

That makes sense, but I still think there is a Darkness race. Why would their be a veiled woman in the first place? Maybe that is there leader or something.

There isn't just one veiled woman. The veiled *women that speak and control the Pyramids are sentient beings. You're expecting them to exhibit mortal or basic traits of what makes something a living being. They are pre-universal paracausal beings so you have to abandon all known definitions of living beings and organisms within our own universe. They are supposed to be beyond comprehension. That's the point of a paracausal being.

The statues themselves are the source of the voices and Ghost describes them as "the ones who spoke through" instead of saying the "Pyramids who spoke through me." The Pyramids just seem to be conduits for them to channel their power on a large scale.
