Ironically it seems Blind Well is one activity Bungie intentionally made not grindable. The drop rates for the end chest are abysmal, so you're better off just doing the couple runs for the weekly bounty on each character and then spending your time on something more useful.

The drop rates aren’t “abysmal”. It’s literally just running it once a week. There is no grinding or repetition.

Blind Well is a one and done Tier 3. What do you mean drop rates are abysmal? Its a guarantee drop for the week if youre into that. Theres loads more to farm than dreaming city weapons.

The drops from the _actual_ chest in the activity are abysmal. The weekly bounty is NOT an activity drop. Compare to Sorrows Harbor for example. Eris usually has a weekly bounty for that, but you don't even need the bounty because the actual activity chest drops stuff every completion. The bounty is just extra gravy.

Why not have the option to farm like Alters of Sorrow? You can farm indefinitely for the weapons in AoS, but you can only farm the blind well once per character per week.

I believe that idea came to mind after. Before we had static rolls with escalation protocol. Blind Well being version 2 of that public space events but its limited to inside a building and hard to access by random chance. Now with seasonal activities and AOS, those are the new "public space" events in a sense. They learned from their mistakes and probably too busy to even update Blind well with random drops. Bear in mind, Blind Well was going to be sunset anyway.
