the scorn are dead fallen brought back to life by fikrul, right? my question is... do they keep their memories after being turned to scorn, or are they like guardians where they come back as a blank slate?
and just think about how the fallen might view the scorn. what if a fallen recognized one of the scorn as someone they used to know?!
imagine you’re an eliksni and you have an eliksni buddy. you guys are best friends, and have been through everything together. then one day, you witness your buddy get killed. you’re devastated! but then, a few weeks later, you see your buddy again! but... he isn’t how he was...
he’s pale, with disgusting boils and flaps of skin everywhere, and he’s feral.
if the scorn keep their memories, would your buddy recognize you? but if they don’t, would your buddy try to kill you?
either way, how heartbreaking all that would be!
also i wonder if we’ll ever see a friendly scorn. probably not though, right? that’s a little too out there i guess lol

The barons seem to remember, but I'm not sure about the rest of them though

Technically we have seen friendly scorn aka the crow he just had his mind wiped that’s why Osiris is telling him to wear his mask but they do keep some of their memory.

4 RepliesIt was my understanding in forsaken that Scorn are basically zombies. They are mindless murder machines driven by aggression. They also can be risen multiple times iirc similar to exos where each death reduces what you retained. The original scorn, the barons were the only scorn created from dark ether, besides Fikruul, who was created by an unintended wish by Uldren Sov to Riven. Riven bestows Fikrul with god tier necromancy so as far as I know Fikrul actually can't be permakilled. He will always revive per the wish draon's magic. This is actually what I'm most excited about. I'm hoping that we'll have a run in with Fikrul and Crow and it will be the interaction that leads us to whatever mission or campaign we go through to finally deal with the scorn once and for all. For anyone not familiar, Fikrul was inadvertently revived by Uldren. Fikrul sees Uldren Sov as his Father, his God, his everything really. I imagine that if Fikrul were to see his deity had been killed and "corrupted" by the light (revived as a guardian) Fikrul would in turn believe it is his sacred duty to murder crow and revive him with his own necromancy ie "save him". Then we show up and save crow, kill fikrul etc etc....

4 RepliesYou know what I just realized? We're probably going to have scorn taniks at some point lmao

1 ReplyI was disappointed to find that what brought down the Glykon were scorns. I was hoping for brand new enemies type.

2 RepliesThis doesn't change the fact that I would eat the scorn if I had to. Pop scorn. Scorn on the cob. Scornflakes. Cinnamon Fikrolls. Apple Pieraks. It's 4am and it's finals week in university don't judge me I only have a tiny shred of sanity left.

29 Replies[ 1. It depends on the Scorn, the Barons remember their life prior to their revival however lower scorn are raving lunatics who couldn't care less 2. According to a lore card from season of the hunt we know that at the very least spiders fallen hate em. Imagine seeing your loved one as a zombie during the apocalypse, that's about how it feels 3. If for some reason this specific Scorn did remember you from his past life, he'd probably kill you so you could join him lol 4. It's not impossible, we know the Scorn aren't just chaotic balls of savagery since we saw in the Cayde's 6 comic that the Trickster was just... Playing cards in a bar. So hypothetically speaking you couuuuuld try and level with a scorn I loved this, so so much

1 ReplyNever thought of this question, but it seems fikrul still remembers stuff from his past, he hates how the elksni worships the traveller, but also...when he rose and saw uldren for the first time he called him father? Which makes it seems as if he forgot everything and was reborn again. So i dont really know haha

2 RepliesWhatever, if you're in my crosshairs your dead.

7 RepliesI dont know but a fact about the fallen is that if both their bottom arms get cut off their demoted to free. Watch Moffee's video about the house of fallen part 1 and 2 and his scorn video.

2 RepliesAccording to the presage dialogue, they do retain information of their past lives. What they were, what they have become, and what has been done to them by the Cabal/Katabasis.
imagine you’re an eliksni and you have an eliksni buddy. you guys are best friends, and have been through everything together. then one day, you witness your buddy get killed. you’re devastated! but then, a few weeks later, you see your buddy again! but... he isn’t how he was...
Zombies are generally not very good friends :(
if the scorn keep their memories, would your buddy recognize you? but if they don’t, would your buddy try to kill you?
Probably would still try to kill the pal. I think it depends on how they became scorn, the Barons didn't die, but just consumed dark ether, keeping their memories. The Mechanist in the heroic ether harvest event seems to have lost them after being resurrected. Fikrul is an exception since he is kept alive by Riven.
