It’s possible Osiris will die within the next few years/months because of the loss of his ghost/light.
We can assume guardians begin to age without the light because of the Dark Future lore book where it’s described theirs a lightless, aged Zavala with white hair and a an aged look.
Using this info it’s probable that Osiris may not have much time left because of his already aged complexion. I hope it’s not true, because I’m starting to like Osiris a lot more than I did a couple of seasons ago.

Didn't we get his ghost back for him in curse of Osiris? He must have been without a ghost then for sometime. Eris has no ghost and she doesnt appear to age.

6 RepliesEh. I imagine the Traveler will plop out another ghost for him. It's about time we had a good ol' fashioned Deus Ex Machina. I mean, I'm still salty that poor Sagira was killed offscreen. She was one of the rare few good things to come out of Curse of Osiris and she was done dirty.

He already old asf

2 RepliesEdited by Starkweather: 4/9/2021 4:50:19 PMHe lost his ghost. Not his light. Edit: I guess it’s tied together. I wasn’t aware of this.

I reckon he'll end up with that caged Ghost that Spider has through some plot shenanigans

Well here are some things to consider. The Traveler made ghosts when it was super super weak and on the brink of death. The ghosts go out and choose their guardians and blah blah blah. You know this part. The traveler is at full strength now...or is closer to it than before. Hard to tell for absolute certainty. I figure since we are kinda in a new age of unknowns with the traveler, maybe it’s possible a new ghost could choose him. After all, Shin Malphur was chosen by a ghost out of pity as a child that had died to the fallen and then was chosen by Jaren Wards ghost. Osiris also states in season of the worthy lore that he killed a warlord and told the ghost to choose someone else, so ghosts obviously don’t have just one spark.

Multiple people have brought up the traveler just making another ghost for him, and while that might not be exactly what happens I wouldn’t be surprised if the traveler did SOMETHING to restore him. The traveler as it’s last act before going dormant made ghosts, at it’s literally weakest point. Now it’s at full strength and restored so anything is possible.

2 RepliesIf he just had silver he can go to eververse and buy a new ghost. Let's start a go fund me

He will age but to say he has only a few months or years is wild speculation
-
Like, why doesn't the traveller just bang him out another ghost? Why doesn't he wear high tops? So many unanswered questions.

This is Destiny. Not Fire Emblem Three Houses.

1 ReplyIm ready to see old man Osiris with his cane walking around slapping people with it

2 RepliesEdited by draycole: 4/7/2021 6:02:09 AMCan't osiris just grab another sagira from an alternate timeline? What happens to all his echos/copies? Are they still traveling through the multiverse Also can't he just learn stasis?

1 ReplyEris hasn't aged at all. I think after your ghost dies, you don't age but will still die of old age. Its that you will still look the same.
-
They expanded the human life expectancy to like 300 years so I don’t think he’s dying of natural causes anytime soon
-
Well he's already dead, so he'll start decomposing and chasing guardians called Rick Grimes around the tower.
-
Nah dam he just has to commune with the darkness
-
With what’s possible today, and the fact Rahool can decrypt those engrams into different forms of matter, I would think we got some decent anti ageing cream.
Although Rahool is operating from underneath a propped up bed sheet so who knows how well we are really doing
Osiris is Mortal. He will age and die Naturaly.

I can’t remember where I saw it, but there’s a theory that Osiris still has some Light left in him. However, once that Light is gone, it’s gone forever, since he no longer has a Ghost to replenish the Light for him. So, I guess it depends on what Osiris decides to do with his remaining Light. If he conserves it, he could potentially live for awhile. Also, before Guardians were a thing, back in the ‘Golden Age’, the presence of the Traveler in our solar system alone, tripled human lifespan, so now that the Traveler is awake again, Osiris could potentially live for a very, very long time without the Light, or his Ghost.

1 ReplyMost likely, although he might have like frozen his age or something. He did a lot of weird things with time.

I'd say yes, since he's not an Awoken or Exo.
