Blaze walks up, inspecting the ship in his sunglasses and hat.

[spoiler]Chain 4[/spoiler] You try to do so, but nothing happens as the eye glares at you... Meanwhile the Nightmare has lept onto Melinoe's chest and laughs at her

Blaze shoots at any of the Nightmares eyes he can see. “Hey! I want to take her in [i]alive[/i], thank you very much!”
-
The Nightmare staggers a bit and Melinoe takes the opportunity to push it off and rise to her feet!
-
Blaze takes a step back from her. “Actually....that probably wasn’t the greatest of ideas....”
-
She kicks Watson away and reaches out to summon her sword to her as the Nightmare rubs its face, recovering from the stun!

Blaze shoots at her hand so she can’t wield the sword as well.

Edited by Unseelie Nil: 4/3/2021 8:28:35 PMYour shot hits her in the arm and causes her to lose concentration! Holmes leaps through the portal with the sword and it closes behind him! The spot upon your hand begins to pulse and you hear a whisper over your shoulder, "[i]Finish her[/i]"

Blaze quickly looks over his shoulder, confused. “Whaaaa....”

The whisper comes again in the other ear, "[i]Kill her.[/i]" Unmarked black vehicles arrive and armed men in uniform start to take Melinoe away.

Blaze tries to make out if this voice is diffrent from the normal Voice in his head.

A reflection within a nearby car window catches your eye, as it isn't your reflection. Within you see a dark void and the thing that isn't Nil staring back. "[i]Bah![/i]" The whisper sighs, "[i]Too late now, the other fleshlings got to her first.[/i]"

Blaze stares at the reflection. “Mhm. Sure does suck. Don’t know why you think I’ll listen to you though.”

"[i]I'd cause that mark on your hand to spread and rot your arm off, but without that sword she's as just another mortal, and you vermin live such short lives! Besides, you were always just the bargaining chip, and your friend specifically instructed me not to harm you, so you're off the hook![/i]" The spot begins to fade away!

“Oh great, I love being a bargaining chip....and jeez, you must be a real slow...thing, if you’re referring to me as mortal.”

"Humans, Elves, Vampires, Gods, you all die eventually!"

[spoiler]Chain 3[/spoiler] You do so and it hisses in pain! Then its form blurs again, appearing a few feet away and free from the hole in the dock, glaring angrily at you with its remaining five eyes.

Blaze shoots at its eyes more with renewed confidence. “Bad fog! Bad!”

With the combined barrage from you and Pure Vessel, the Nightmare staggers back and looks for an escape, only seeing the ocean. It screams, and turns to leap into the waters below!

Blaze waits a moment, then turns back to Melione.

The Nightmare splashes into the sea as you turn to see Melinoe on the ground in cuffs, Cobalt and Holmes beside her. And the portal still open not far from them.

Blaze tries to make shadows block the portal again. “Oh no oh no.”

The portal seems to absorb the shadows and grow a bit larger... And then another Nightmare leaps out!

Blaze groans, and starts shooting at the Nightmares eyes.

You notice this one is much smaller than the last as it takes the bullets and ignores you, rushing towards Melinoe!
