You lot seem to forget what year 1 was like. Do you really want team shooting meta back???

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 3/16/2021 1:11:16 PMThis is a logical scarecrow fallacy. Special weapons are overused because the ammo is practically infinite (= special ammo economy's bad). Fixing "Too much special ammo" doesnt equal "Return the game to d2y1". "Return to d2y1" would equal moving all special guns to heavy slot. (In addition to making primary ttks longer and overall movement speeds slower. Even if you did return to d2y1 double primaries right now and I'm not saying we should, the game wouldnt play exactly like what it did then. Primary ttks and movement are faster.) Plenty of ways the balance / tune / reduce special ammo in play without returning to d2y1 at all. You dont even have to touch special weapons at all. The amount of ammo you gain and how it's dropped is the problem. Plenty of ways to reduce the amount of ammo without going back to d1 ammo boxes too, in case that counter argument's on the trigger. Instead tune the spawning in amounts, tune how scavengers work, tune what gun type kills drop how much special or if at all. These are what should be worked on.

Bungie isn't capable of doing it and you know it, as I've said to someone else. They do all or nothing.
-
Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 3/16/2021 2:49:20 PMThat's irrelevant to the subject matter in these posts and a separate discussion. Both posts are about pointing out a real problem. Using an assumption of what bungo might or might not do to fix that problem (before they've even acknowledged it exists) isnt a logical reason to deflect the fact that the problem exists.
-
Hey man cut it out. Don't u dare talk logically in this forum.
-
1) I loved y1 crucible 2) I never said return to the double primary meta 3) Team shooting is a community excuse, as everyone focuses targets down anyway, don’t even try to go off in that regard
-
Of course you loved year 1, we can see that. No one else did that's why it changed.
-
It changed because it was implemented poorly, yet had some of the best balance in the whole game, which is why no one liked it because you couldn’t not rely on one hit kill weapons as heavily as you can now. I don’t want to go back to year one, specials are fun weapons, but I don’t want to live in a game where specials also completely nullify any gunplay as well as don’t even live up to their name. Should be renamed spammo.
-
You know for a fact with Bungie it's all or nothing. That's how they do things. You campaign for this and we are back to year 1, it's that simple.
-
How they implement it is their choice alone, whether or not they do things “all or nothing” is not my problem, no matter how much I agree or disagree with you. I’m trying to bring light to an issue that is plaguing the crucible, that being the oversaturated special ammo economy Their implementation methods of improvements could be a whole mother post entirely.
-
Posts like this are the catalyst that makes them go overboard, we've seen it in the past many times man, you can't deny that. If they do any limits to special ammo the people will quit playing. It happened in d1 at the end and at the beginning of d2. Again, something you cannot deny because the stats back me up 100%.
-
All the more reason to implement it correctly then, isn’t it?
-
Which Bungie aren't capable of doing and you know it. Guaranteed if you get your way they go too far, they always do.
-
Don’t shoot the messenger.
-
You are the instigator, not the messenger.
-
I am not the first nor will I be the last.
-
6 up votes show its not that popular of an idea lol.
-
You still have a lot if teamshot. Specially now that 120 are meta.
-
And you can overcome that by killing one of them quickly with a special weapon. While if you were with your 120rmp handcanon...you would have 0 chances to kill one of the 2 guys teamshoting...so you would just run away and rely on teamshot too. Wich is the most borring gameplay ever and has made d2 y1 being the worst pvp times ever.
-
And as I've already said and you probably read it already, you'll get more if you limit special ammo.
-
Very likely but it’s not like having “unlimited” amounts of special ammo is better.
-
So you willing to seriously limit your chaperone use?
-
Yes I do. But honestly, if special ammo would be reduced, it needs to be tuned differently for every weapon type and in some cases, for a specific weapon.
-
So what you use gets more ammo and what other people use gets less? I bet that's what you want 😂😂
-
Not really. I use different weapons. Just because I have the chaperone equiped it does not mean that it is all I use.
-
It is, it makes people go for kills instead of grouping together.
