Hi there. When you don’t pick up an enhancement core, they sometime go to the postmaster as a level 0 exotic engram for some reason. This is just a visual thing and was never an exotic weapon/piece of armor.

This is a visual bug that usually happens when your engram inventory is full. If you look closely, you can see that you actually got an Encrypted Engram, not an Exotic one. It should appear as a legendary engram (that's the bug) but it was always intended to have the enhancement core. Prime engrams will never award you gear plus an extra exotic engram.

OK thanks for the info. Just another bug to add to the continuously growing list that never seems to get fixed.

We know that. You turned in a prime engram, and received a weapon. You didn't also receive an exotic engram. It's a visual bug. Your reward was a weapon and core.
