Find some weapons that you really like using. Doesn't matter if they look cool or are meta yadda yadda. And really sit down with them and get your very familiar with how they function. Also movement is critical in this game. Not just necessarily moving fast but know where to be and not to be. Like with cabal drop pods you clearly don't want to he where they are going to land or could land. Same with crucible. You don't want to be in the way of the big wave coming at you. Gotta figure out the tides of the fight. It's got a lot of nuance for sure but it doesn't require you to be a thumbstick god. Also if you find yourself comfortable with a double primary loadout then go for it. Just because specials are in the game doesn't mean you absolutely have to use one.

Yup, see red on the radar move away, find a vantage point and hit them as they move towards you. Cautious play will help you if your LL is slightly lower.

This is the way I always approached crucible. I played what I liked and it worked for me. I don’t mind dying as long as it doesn’t feel like impossible odds. For me all of those Ironbanner matches felt like fighting against a say Dark souls boss for the first time. I felt I had no chance, no matter what I did. I played quite a lot of crucible (sure not nearly as much as PvP mains) in my D2 time so I know my way around most maps pretty well. But even with newer maps, the way it went yesterday, I wouldn’t even have a chance to learn about new maps cause I would just constantly die, mostly by the same person. And that is what I meant. If I’m constantly dominated, extremely, to the point where I’m more dead than alive in a single match, I can’t participate, can’t learn or improve. And at this point I straight up don’t want to anymore. I don’t like being in matches where one side usually dominates the other, no matter what side I’m on. And that’s what I found happens most of the time to me in crucible for about a year now. I’ve never not played crucible for as long as I did the whole last year. My most recent Ironbanner experience just showed me all of the above in a magnifying lense. Yes my powerlevel didn’t help but I was aware of that and it’s effects going in

Yeah. The oppressive metas are creeping back in. I remember gambit right off the launch of foresaken and how absolutely busted queenbreaker for invasions and anti invasion. Very oppressive and very very quick stuff. Had to be on your A-game during those times and as much fun as I found it; it was really unhealthy for the game to stay like that. With stasis in the game allowing you to practically ctrl + alt + delete practically anyone in crucible is nice because y'know anyone can use stasis but also it's not very fun if you have use x y or z to play the game at eye level with others. Aslo crucible as a whole has stagnated as a whole. Ever since worthy when they crazy buffed autos it has been just one boring archetype to the next. Now we are at 120 hand cannons and shotties. Big yawn all around. Not much variety unless you count the cannon being solar, void, or kinetic as variety. Can't really comment much more than my experience without sounding dickish. Banner experience for me this last week was alright. 10 matches. Got all 4 bounties done within them. In and out. Best of luck next time if you decide to go for it.

Thank you. I’m glad you got your bounties done. I just hopped in for the IB quest and the bright dust. I didn’t even go to complete the matches required for that weekly challenge even though I was on 67% or so. I just couldn’t do it. I’m happy for all those that have a better crucible experience than me, maybe through more skill or just more luck with matchmaking or both. I know those people exist, it’s just not me, at least not yesterday. I just hit the worst odds I possibly could. Stasis is a problem within itself. Being frozen right after your super activation feels like a horrible waste of energy. Whenever I’m frozen by stasis I just accept my fate and keep going once I’m spawned back in. Playing against fireteam with 5/6 stasis users really isn’t enjoyable though
