In 2014, Blizzard, the makers of the famous World of Warcraft and Diablo franchises came to Bunyon to give some advice. They went because Blizzard was under the umbrella of Activision. The same publisher back then. Blizzard basically came in and said, "Look, here’s our story of developing Diablo III" and then they were saying, like, "Hey, random numbers are not fun—dice rolls are not fun. You can give the illusion of randomness, but you want to weight it towards the player… The only point you have to deliver on is that when people leave your game—because they will—when they leave your game, they need to be happy." Did you catch that last phrase folks? After 6 years, SIX EFFING YEARS! Bunyon didn't learn. It doesn't matter what you are designing the game for. Whether it be for RNG, guns, loot, gun perks, armor perks, armor stats, sunsetting, no sunsetting, etc. The end result should be what Blizzard had proposed. That last phrase. In the end, "they need to be happy!" After half a BILLION dollars, Bunyon didn't learn. Turned half a BILLION into 💩! Up to now, still 💩! 😂

When people leave D2 they’re told to delete their gear, delete their characters then uninstall the game. And post a link to prove they’ve done it. 😂

Except, we know what Bungie does, *crickets* Or they're like, "screw you, we'll do what we want and you'll like it or you can leave"! That's their attitude nowadays. I'm like, piss on them!

  • About WHEN players leave, they need to be happy. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. the game is fantastic, the journey was great and a ton of fun, and now that they are moving on to the next game, I would "depart" from that game feeling satisfied, and also know that I can come back at anytime and it would be the experience I enjoyed for a few years. Destiny, I'm stepping away because it feels like my work is being PUNISHED or at least discarded at the whim of the developers. That was a very good point, thanks for that bit of information. Seems like bungie is completely out of touch with the community.

  • It did say that. "when people leave your game—because they will" and went on to say they need to be happy. When I left or moved on from Halo it was my love of bungie that took me to destiny. At this point I won't touch any of their new IP's.

They were good. But something happened to them after they dug themselves out of the Microsoft deal. For some reason, when the core leadership disbanded, it was a different Bunyon. They lost their way. Greed does that to people and their corporations. All the time! Absolute power corrupts absolutely! And love of Money is the root of all evils. Always!

Always![/quote] Hey totally agree to your points however just want to point out that the verse is “Money is A root of all kinds of evil” money in itself and it’s necessity is not inherently evil. Just a small fun fact, not trying to start an argument or anything since I agree with the posts!

It's what we do with it that makes it good or evil. Evil desires begets evil deeds. GG Homie!
