I don’t eat pizza. Back when I did, we usually got Papa John’s, but Pizza Hut was my favorite.

  • Pizza Hut is disappointing if it's not Pan pizza in my opinion.

  • I haven’t had pizza in at least half a decade, so I couldn’t tell you the specifics of what I used to get. Just that it was Pizza Hut. And cheese.

  • I’m a vegetarian. Despite common belief, cheese is not vegetarian. It’s got something called rennet in it, and I stopped eating pizza (and cheese in general) once I learned what it was.

  • Not even nearly all cheese have animal based rennet. Can't tell you how to distinguish between the animal and bacteria based ones but if you *really* need some then some kosher or halal cheese is the way to go.

  • Bacteria? I haven’t heard of that. I know there are some fungi based ones, though. There’s two issues at that point, though; 1. I’d only trust cheese I can see the ingredients list of, and that list its rennet as non-animal based. Which means no takeout pizza, anyway. 2. I’ve actually tried eating vegetarian cheese (Tillamook is safe!), but my brain’s already crossed it off the list of things I can eat. Trying to eat any, even some I know is vegetarian, makes me feel sick. >.< I appreciate letting me know regardless, though! Thanks! ^-^

  • Here's a couple of links to FPC creators: https://www.chr-hansen.com/en/food-cultures-and-enzymes/cheese/cards/product-cards/chy-max https://www.dsm.com/food-specialties/en_US/products/dairy/maxiren.html They are fermentation based alternatives so you may find info on if they have lactovegan products in their selection. I'm not that good at finding vegan relevant info but if you manage to make a vegan pizza someday I hope I could help.

  • Yeah it won't make you find takee outs any easier but even then self made vege pizza can end up really tasty. I eat quite a lot of meat but a spicy vege pizza from my own hands has proven to be a nice meal before so I just though you could find ingredients to enjoy a self made one someday.
