*We back. But let's keep the combat in the old chains to save my sanity lol*
The Drow woman falls before Shamrock and the shards leap from her withered hand. They float around the bloody pedestal as next to it, the chains raise a metallic sarcophagus from the depths with Cobalt crouched atop it. Runes along the seams glow with violet light, brighter and brighter, until there is an audible hiss and they fade away.
"Kill her, quickly!" The drow woman shouts, face distorted in terror, "Do not let her leave this pl-"
She is cut off as the lid falls to the floor, unleashing a freezing gust of wind that turns the surrounding waters to ice. A cauldron of shrieking white bats fly from the sarcophagus and swarm the Drow, raising her into the air in a cloud of red mist that seems to draw the blood throughout the room into it.
Within a heartbeat, her scream is silenced and her withered body falls. Beside it, another Elven woman appears, hair and skin as white as snow, draped in tattered gray rags. She turns to those within the chamber, eyes inky black voids with glowing ruby irises.
The Witch Queen thrusts her hand outward and a long crystalline sword appears. Gripping the blade with both hands, she raises into a fighting stance and bares her fangs.

Holmes will land down next to Watson and also bow respectfully. “Greetings. I am Warlock Holmes great wizard of something or other I forget and it matters not. Art thou the one who summoned us? It has been a interesting encounter so far.” The wizard remains polite but starts recalling the arcane procedure for a misty step spell in case he needs to teleport quickly.
-
She arches an eyebrow and you see a brief moment of hesitation before her eyes dart to several others raising weapons. She leaps to the air, spraying a wave of cold and a volley of sharp shards of ice into the crowd! (Cone of Cold! DC: 20 Con save for 35 Cold damage or half!)
-
Edited by ImaDrizzit: 12/21/2020 11:32:39 PMWatson, knowing he isn’t agile to dodge, shall try to brave right through the cone of cold. 22 to the con save. He shall bring the blade down towards the queen if he can reach then, hasted by warlocks spell will attack in quick succession four times. 20, 22, natural 20 and 12 to hit for 13, 12, and 20 damage and I assume the 12 misses. “That’s a rather cold greeting for such a friendly host.”
-
Her blade is currently within Blaze's side as he had thrown a bolt of lightning at her. Your strikes take her by surprise and leave a series of gashes across her body! She snarls and twirls, removing the blade from Blaze and swinging overhead with an 18 for 12 slashing and 11 Cold. Then she flips into the air using a Bonus Action to Quick Cast a lil homebrewed spell of mine, Nil's Icy Daggers! 23 for 6 Cold and a dc 20 Dex save to avoid another 3 as a shard of ice flies towards you then explodes on impact! Two more shards fly out to others. And one final attack as she lands and slams her blade down into the ground next to you with a nat 1!
-
He brings up his sword to block but the witch queen is too quick and the icy blade cuts him deep. So focused he was on the blade that he doesn’t notice your cool homebrew spells dm gets bit and proceeds to fail the dex check miserably, rolling a 7. But then he sees his chance. As the which queen slams the blade into the ground he will lunge forwards, using the Riposte battle master maneuver to attack as a reaction 26 to hit for 20 damage. Then he once again bursts into action striking four more times. 27, 28, 22, and 26 to hit for 12, 11, 12, and 14 damage.
-
Through a combination of your haste and the gunfire from Shamrock and Owen, she is caught off guard and fails to parry your strikes as you leave a series of fresh wounds to replace the already mending ones from before!
-
“Oh Great... a vampire. Now I really wish I had my holy sword. We could always talk this out if you wish probably a lot less painful for all involved that way.” Despite saying he can talk he won’t let up on the attacks, not wanting the creature to be able to fully heal. 22, 22, 22, and 16 to hit for 12, 13, 12, and 19 damage.
-
The first 3 hit but the last one fails as a boulder falls and shakes the platform! At this point you notice many boulders falling into the sea, sending waves crashing into the structure. She turns to watch another fall beside the edge and raises a hand to freeze the wave before it can wash over everything! She then turns back to you, sword still raised in her other hand, "What have you done?"
-
Edited by ImaDrizzit: 12/22/2020 1:12:02 AM“Nothing... at least I personally did nothing. Is this place going to collapse on our heads now? And does this mean you don’t feel like fighting anymore?” He keeps his sword raised and ready as well.
-
"Ir ab- eh, sorry." She then turns to the pedestal with the shards and takes a step towards it
-
“So... what exactly is going on here. You are the one who invited us here, right?”

“By the Nine Hells of Baator why did I choose to wear metal today!” The wizard says while shivering and completely failing his save with a roll of a 4. He also fails his concentration save on the flight spell but luckily I already landed. Holmes will cast haste upon Watson before trying to move away from the others and consequently any area of effect spells. “I mean no harm although that may change quickly. I just wish to observe for now although, again, hostilities may occurs. I cannot say the same about the others either.”
Also don’t worry about telling Watson about the spell. I chose him as we both are using D&D rules and he is literally right next to me both in game and in real life.
Your words don't sway her as she watches you haste Watson, who then attacks her. She retaliates with a few strikes and sends Rashard of ice towards you with a 15 for 2 cold damage and a DC 20 Dex save to avoid another 5 as it explodes on impact!
-
Edited by Warlock Holmes: 12/22/2020 12:12:38 AMHolmes gets hit yet again and fails his save again. Although the concentration save is passed. “Well it was worth a try. You wish to fight well Jah'kaless.” The wizard sighs though chattering teeth. After all he is a wizard and knows his health isn’t to good compared to most. The trick would have gotten him a little bit more time to move out of range and let the actually fighters take the damage. He shall move back 30 feet and cast lightning bolt in a 4th level spells slot because the last event and my haste has already ran me out of third. Unfortunately all my actual fun spells require concentration. A bolt of lightning electrifies the area after being launched from the wizards metallic arm. Dexterity save DC 21 for 44 lightning damage half on a success.
-
She fails with a 19, distracted by the hail of gunfire from others and the rush of strikes from Watson!
-
Watson will approach, bowing politely before the witch queen. “Hello there, I assume you are the one who Invited us here. I have to say it was quite a lovely party so far.” He will start shuffling through his pack, looking for something that he seems unable to find.
