So let me get this straight:
My loading times now entering some areas of the game have gone from 1sec to 0.5sec.
Updates copying is just as long as it used to be, SSD included/ceteris paribus.
Loading in the tower or any destination and activity is just as long as before.
I mean, wasn’t sunsetting activities/reducing the size of the game designed to make everything faster? Wasn’t that the argument all the sheep used to respond to players’ complaints?

My activities load up a lot faster now, plus there's virtually no more loading... areas in the game anymore. And this is all on a 7 year old PS4.

Yea they claimed making the game "smaller" would make things load faster and make the game more stable. Still not seeing it ... Hell I even have worse frames, even on the console versions.

Edited by Sedge: 12/19/2020 8:53:37 PMThat’s odd, My game starts a lot faster than before, The loading time to core activities is a lot faster for me too. To don’t say everything is faster, maybe gambit is the only one that didn’t get faster to load for me. And the matchmaking is the thing that makes crucible matches taking longer, not the loading itself anymore. Oh, and the loading time to planets and the tower is super fast for me too. I really feel the difference in those things at least. Or there’s something wrong with your end or you guys aren’t willing to admitting the improvement in this aspect.

No it was supposed to make the install size smaller because it was well over 100GB and there are people playing with 500GB Xboxes and PS4s.

That’s me, still got my 7 year old PS4

Hey not smack talking it lol, just issuing a correction :) it wasn't a performance promise it was a space saving promise.

It does not work because not only did they not fix the stability issues, they got worse.
