What exactly did you do to get it unlocked? I've been waiting for 10 minutes for an email to show up with the code and I got nothing

First you get a code at Bungie's rewards page, for the ebook. Then you "purchase" the Lore ebook at the Bungie store, and use the code on the checkout. Finish the "purchase" and you'll receive the lore ebook for free.
