I'm not entirely sure, but I think I read somewhere that the only pinnacle drops that drop at such high levels come from endgame content (raids, Trials, etc.) So if I'm right, your strike/crucible/gambit drops will always be 1-3 levels higher. Dont quote me though.

hmm.. The Pinnacles I got were from Gambit and Crucible and other locations. But once the event was complete there was nothing in my inventory, gear or weapons that looked anything like a Pinnable drop, all 1250 as I said for weeks. Not even 1-3 points higher. I mainly play alone so I don't get to do Raids or Trials. Rarely do I go into Crucible, but only to try to level up higher - yet nothing drops suggesting it is a 'higher drop'. Weeks ago I had one amor piece drop at 1252 (Arms), in the same week, another 1251 (Helm). The week after that a piece 1251 (Legs). Nothing else.

Nightfalls and Europa Hunts are about your only avenue once you hit 1250.

Edited by mja calg: 12/14/2020 10:40:01 PMI'd forgotten about Exo Challenge - even though I do it each week. Wrathborn requires Season Pass - not sure if they have it. Edit: Just remembered another one. The Prophecy Dungeon also gives Pinnacle too..
