As the letter escapes her grasp, Amber stares questioningly at the door before her.
“What the—“
She steps up to it, her long grey coat waving slightly at her movement. Her hand pushes away a strand of her auburn hair before it lands on the knob to test whether or not it is locked.

Transparent wires line the floor and walls, connecting various monitors and terminals with their symmetrical patterns. A static white noise hums in the air. In the center of the room is a switch, powered off.
-
She leans in cautiously and holds out the hand opposite to the one holding the door. From her palm pops up a little flame with which she hopes to gain a better view of the room before she dares to step in toward the switch.
Hmmm....
-
Her flame's illuminance drifts into conservative corners, revealing dust-lined cobwebs and tangled wires. Nothing much is left to be seen in the limited confines of that room, save for the switch; Its plastic frame is pulsing yellow.

Nothing to worry about, completely safe!
-
She finally risks a step inside and then another. Her hazel eyes bounce over each corner until she reaches the switch. With her flame still alight, she moves to flip the switch.
The monitors whir to life, terminals bleep into existence, and the only door slides shut. When all vanishes to darkness, the wires shimmer on, their shining yellow providing some vision. A calm voice resounds from hidden speakers. “Helllzzzozzto Amber. I’ve beezztn expec-zzt-expecting yzzzt-you.”
-
Amber immediately draws a dagger from her belt beneath her coat and takes a defensive stance. She keeps her flame held in front of her. “Who’s there? How do you know my name?”
-
Edited by NinjaW/ramen: 12/5/2020 7:22:04 AM
"Izzzt-tzzt I knowzzztztt wh-zzzt-who yzzzt-you arzzztztzttttz..." A monitor flashes white, before dimming to black. Words type across the screen in rapid succession, displaying a single sentence: Type the following to hear audio recording with more clarity A line of code files onto the screen.
-
Amber glances over her shoulder at the door. She figures she won’t be able to get it open again and proceeds to type in the code. Still, she keeps her dagger in hand and an eye on the corners of the room.
-
Static words are heard from various speakers. "Exxzzzzllzzzt- Excellent. I'm glad you could come, Amber. I've been in pressing need or your assistance."
-
She turns around again, keeping her back away from the shadowy, open space. “I don’t think we’ve been fully acquainted yet,” she says simply.
-
"Izzt-I know who you are." The screen pulses white to the rhythm of the voice. "You are Amber. Kevin never ceased speaking of you."
-
Her brow furrows at his response. “I recognize my own name, I get it. But I don’t remember ever meeting a Kevin. Who are you?”
-
"I-zzzt know who you are. But you have no clue. What you need is a clue. Free... clue. Would you like zzzztzz- like--zzzzt- free clue-zzztt." The voice dies out and more words flash across the screen. type following code to hear clu Zeros and One's fill the screen in seemingly sporadic patterns.
-
By the way, I know what villain you’re talking about, it’s just Amber doesn’t have Disney movies where she’s from so she has no clue xD
Amber frowns at the offer and shakes her head. “Nah, don’t worry about that. If I help you, will you let me out of here?”
-
She has no clue? *poorly suppressed laughter*

Words brighten the screen again; type following code to hear clu-...clu's voice

*Says like Sith Lord* Do it.
-
Fiddlesticks, I walked right into that one didn’t I?
Amber lets out a forced sigh and begins typing again at the keys in the same cautious fashion as before. Her eyes squint at the code, taking extra caution not to accidentally misplace a number.
-
When Amber hits the last key, a blinding flash of white briefly consumes the room with its brilliance. When it dims and her vision clears, Amber sees a man with a black cloak, laced in yellow. "Hello, Amber. I hope you can hear my voice now." He removes a disc from his back, triggering a holo-screen to appear. Punching in various numbers, the door opens. "You can leave now if you like, dude." He harshly shouldered past her, approaching the monitor's keyboard. "I got an army to free."

oh my gosh, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!
-
*exaggerated gasp* Noooo!
In the shock of the light penetrating into her eyes, her flame goes out. She can only stand with a gaping mouth at the scene before her once her vision clears. It isn’t until the man bumps into her that she snaps out of her trance and the thought of leaving escapes her mind. She strides after him. “Wait, an ‘army’? What ‘army’?” She pauses. “Did you seriously just call me ‘dude’? And what kind of clue was that, anyway? Talk about false advertising! I didn’t even want a stupid clue!”
-
Edited by NinjaW/ramen: 12/5/2020 9:02:45 AM
“No, no, no- I’m CLU, you’re stupid, and I don't want you.” He raises a hand, interrupting her response. “But you wouldn’t know that, being imperfect.” Briefly examining the room's interior, he sighed under his breath. “...just like the rest of this flawed world.”
-
Amber freezes in her place, taken aback by his response. She lifts her short blade and pokes lightly at his chest with the hopes of interrupting his work and pressuring him into stepping away from the console. “You weren’t exactly put on my Christmas list either, buddy. But, no offense, it’s pretty dumb to declare you’ve got an army to free and not expect me ask why the heck you’ve got an army to free!”
-
Edited by NinjaW/ramen: 12/6/2020 7:28:24 AM
Noticing her dagger, CLU steps aside from the keyboard, raising his hands. "I am CLU. It is my sole purpose to perfect that which is flawed- to create the perfect system!" He dismisses the room with a snarl of disgust. "Look at this place- Look at your own world! I don't need to step out of this room just to know what a sloppy mess it is!" He places a finger on Amber's dagger, attempting to lower it. "Amber, you're smarter than this- why, I- I would create a new world! After years of suffering, lies, and evil, we would have victory! Don't you see?" He takes an imposing step forward. "This... is our destiny." Glancing to the keyboard he shrugs. "But I can't correct what has been made, only reset... and for that... I'll need my army."
-
Amber hears his words, and her expression softens. She takes a step back as though she had just been jabbed in the side. Her eyes dart back and forth along with the many thoughts and contradictions in her mind. However, at the next mention of his army, she positions herself more between him and the computer. “I escaped from an imperfect world; this one isn’t mine. I’ve experienced the suffering, the lies, the evil. Believe me, armies can’t fix everything. And you’ve got some nerve to judge a whole planet by a single room.”
-
He laughs, removing a black disc from his back. "Lady, I was created to be the ultimate algorithm of perfection. I'm not basing the algorithm of this room- no." A beam of yellow energy outlines the disk in his hand. "I'm judging the world... off of you." He flips in the air, attempting to slice Amber with his light disk.

For reference, the next spoiler box contains a picture of CLU with his light disc!

https://static01.nyt.com/images/2010/12/05/arts/TRON-span/TRON-span-articleLarge.jpg?quality=75&auto=webp&disable=upscale

And here's how he's dressed in the RP: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/76/fd/97/76fd97694bba21021780b14c63791e55.jpg
Amber is taken aback by his response, so much so that she is barely able to stumble back out of the disk’s arc. Her back slams into the console behind her. “What? Why would... why would you judge the world based on me?” She pushes off the computer and draws a second dagger, taking on a more defensive stance. “I just said I’m not even from here!”
Not gonna lie, he looks pretty cool!
-
"And yet... it has already stained you with its immorality, it's filth, it's... imperfection!" He hurls the light disc at Amber. "End of line!"

Well, that escalated quickly
