He's not there for you.
He's there to be the bridge that brings new players into the universe and the game where it stands now.
He brings something valuable to the game. It just not in the game FOR YOU.

No. It isn't. But it consumes limited resources, to no benefit, at a time when all video game devs are working under battlefield conditions. He is a VENDOR, who is a glorified tutorial. He is not there to be a functional character in a major story arc. He is a FUNCTION. Not a character. Those resources that were available were used to flesh out Elsie Bray and Ana Bray....as well as introduce us to The Crow....and I think that was their proper use.

If they're so hard up on resources that they can't add in some extra dialog, useful items, and a few hunt or lost sector quests, then OP's point is valid. Why does the cosmodrome even exist if Bungo can't do anything with it cuz resource issues? Why not, yknow, not include the cosmodrome and use those resources to enrich the existing experiences instead of the whole thing being shallow garbage. Maybe they can write up a character not having 600 year old grandaddy issues who actually wants to drive back the darkness or something. Who knows?

Yes. ...and lots of things are possible in our imaginations, that aren't really practical when the real world steps in. The point is that we are in a PANDEMIC situation, and a health emergency that the world hasn't seen in a century. So they are not working under normal conditions, and it was a struggle to even get this thing out at all. ...and if this vendor...and that's what he is a VENDOR...had to be shipped in a barebones form that focused on getting his main purpose accomplished, then so be it.

A vendor Deserves character. My local Convince Store Shop Owner. Is "Just," a vendor. His name is also Tom, and he has a Wife and Kid who is in Elementary. He has 2 part time jobs, And his Wife is some business person. Ik more about this Vednor than I do about Shaw Han. And I'm just being polite to my "Vendor," Tom. I don't pry, I just use my social skills to make conversation. Which everyone and everything is capable of And Shaw Han, or SHAWN. As it's prounounced. Is named that cause to call him Han, WARRENTS Disney suing Bungie for CopyRight, and to call him Shawn. Well that's be stupid. So instead it's Shaw-Han. L Pronounced by normal people Shawn, by him it's prounounced in a special way. SHAWN is a cardboard plank of a charavter. I still take the effort to get to Know my "just a vendor," cause he's PERSON. And Shawn has no personally or we'll character. It's both sad and depressing. The best example I have" Arguing with you Kelly. One sides, slow to grasp and very stubborn.
