Yup. Totally get you. Tried doing a Wrathborne Hunt last night and got totally creamed on the second section, yet I keep reading that they're "too easy".

Another tip I can give you is to ensure that you match the damage type of the arc Captain. I use Nature Of The Beast to take down his shield. Then I hit the boss with rockets and solar hammers.

It requires a different strategy. My first one I died so many times until I found the right weapons and tactics. After that it was pretty simple.

Just like op, you have your recovery under 5. Get it up at high as you can then try again.
