[b]Part 2[/b]
The floor jerks upwards, traveling higher towards the ceiling. A rift opens, casting the two adventurers into a different location.

The land about you looks like a swamp. Large trees protrude from the ground as often as the laws of nature will allow, and they are quite possibly unsteadily rooted into the ground. You can see mountains through the scarce openings in the canopy. Your head begins to throb a little, but soon clears. "Hello. You must be... Owen?"

“Okay, what just happened?” [i]he reaches for his gun[/i]

"I am talking with you telepathically. The connection causes momentary discomfort."

“Fantastic. Now someone’s in my brain.” [i]he looks around for anything useful[/i]

An odd-looking rifle is poking up out of the ground. Despite the fact that it is caked in mud, it has not begun to rust.

[i]he walks over to the gun and looks around for a way to go or something to do[/i]

As you head northwest, you hear faint whispering noises. They louder.

[i]he looks around and searches the trees[/i]

You do not find anything, only a sharp gleam ahead.

[spoiler]it’s just like a weird dream, right?[/spoiler] [i]he walks towards it[/i]

[spoiler]A really weird one.[/spoiler] The whispers grow into a roar like a waterfall, making it hard to hear anything. A spire of strange energy rises from the ground. You feel an odd temptation to enter it.

You are sucked in and launched into the air. Soon you are high above the swamp, but you stop and begin to hover in mid air. You see a mountain with a side shaped like a lion's head, and beneath a lake overcast in darkness. The dream ends, and you wake up on your bed. In front of you is an open map, and your finger is pointing to a certain Lion's Mount and the Lake of Shadows.

“I didn’t even know I had a bed...” “Oh well, im gonna go adventure now” [i]he hefts his m2, and follows the map[/i] “I didn’t even know I had a map, either”

You reach a mountainous region of Offtopic, eventually coming across a swampland surrounded by mountains. In the distance, you see a mountain that towers above the rest. It looks like the one from the dream.

“Yes. This is a good idea.” [i]he walks closer[/i]

The swamp slowly changes to solid ground as you travel, and the trees grow less dense. You are soon upon the shores of a lake, basked in shadow.

The lake is silent for a while, then you hear a noise that could only be the sound of energy weapons firing.

You spot something in the tall grass.
